Enjoy an interactive farm park in one of the best days out in Kent at Huckleberry Woods

If you're looking for a unique place to unwind, to ditch the tech and get back to some good old fashioned fun, you've found it here...

Come and visit the gorgeous little micro-pigs, miniature donkeys Teddy Bear sheep and alpacas. And what could be nicer than relaxing with a summerhouse tea afterwards while children let off steam in the mini play area.

You will be mingling with some free-ranging, inquisitive animals. Please consider whether this type of relaxing and up-close experience is your cup of tea before booking.

Important pre-booking info: This is the correct ticket to buy if you're just visiting or if you're accompanying someone else who is taking part in an animal experience. (This ticket is to visit only and does not include any of Huckleberry Woods' one-to-one animal experiences.)

How to get there

Huckleberry Woods are just 5 minutes from Faversham in Kent.

ME13 0TP for your SAT NAV (carry on 1/2 mile down the road towards Sittingbourne after your SAT NAV tells you to stop though).

Plenty of free parking for cars and bikes!

SAT NAV users please note:

Put the postcode ME13 0TP not the name of the road into the SAT NAV as there are two Lower Roads in Faversham.

Your Sat Nav will stop you 1/2 mile too soon or too far.

Huckleberry Woods is based in an old orchard with no tarmac or concrete anywhere. They welcome wheelchair users, but, to manage your expectations, it’s a bit of a bumpy ride (a bit like taking a wheelchair into the woods). The ground gets muddy after it’s been raining heavily so, it would definitely be better to aim for a dryer spell.

Please be sure to wear closed toed footwear, even if the weather is lovely and the sun is shining. You will not be aloud in without closed toed footwear.

You should allow up to a couple of hours to explore, play and then chill in the mini Summerhouse Café. If you're walking an animal this will be included in your 2 hour booking slot. Please note that your animal walk will take place at some point during your visit and not necessarily at the beginning of your booked slot.

Yes, food for the animals can be bought at the gift shop for £1.20. Huckleberry don't put large amounts of food in the containers so the animals remain interested in taking food from visitors throughout the day and don't get upset tummies. Please don't bring your own food to feed the animals for the reasons outlined above.

There is a very small café area and there is not enough room for picnics. It's not possible to have a picnic in the orchard area as it is an 'animal contact zone' and not safe for either yourself or the animals.

Dogs are not permitted on site as we have free-ranging animals and adhere to strict biosecurity measures to keep our animals safe. Please don’t leave dogs in hot cars while you visit. Fully trained assistance dogs are permitted if they are registered and trained by one of the eight accredited members of Assistance Dogs International or the International Guide Dog Federation.
