Take a stroll with a micro pig at Huckleberry Woods for one of the best things to do in Kent for animal-lovers

Includes entry to Huckleberry Woods micro animal adventures for up to two hours. You'll have plenty of opportunity to stroke the piggies, take photos and ask questions during your walk. You can stop to greet the miniature donkeys, alpacas, Teddy Bear sheep, ducks and chickens as you go.

The pigs go at their own pace, they may amble about slowly or be feeling much more energetic, with running involved - it all depends on the piggy on the day. You can drop the lead if the pig is going too fast for you at any time.

You'll be accompanied for most of your walk by a Huckleberry Woods pig handler to help you and your piggy stay safe.

Important Information: If you are only spectating you still must have an entry ticket for Huckleberry Woods. Closed toe footwear is essential for your safety – no flip flops or sandals.

Huckleberry Woods is based in an old orchard with no tarmac or concrete anywhere. Wheelchair users are welcome, but, to manage your expectations, it’s a bit of a bumpy ride (a bit like taking a wheelchair into the woods). The ground gets muddy after it’s been raining heavily so, it would definitely be better to aim for a dryer spell.

Fully trained assistance dogs are permitted if they are registered and trained by one of the eight accredited members of Assistance Dogs International or the International Guide Dog Federation.

This experience is equally enjoyable for adults on their own or sensible children over 4 years of age. You have to be steady on your feet and able to remain calm and quiet around the animals. This experience is not suitable for the under 4s or people who may be a little wobbly on their feet.

Friends and family are welcome to book a piggy walk at the same time as yours. Or they can watch all the fun from a few paces behind your pig - you just need to be careful not to crowd round them. However, it's not possible to share the pig between you. You'll need a visitor entry ticket to spectate.

Although still very small compared to an average sized pig, an adult micro pig is well past the tiny tea-cup piglet stage - they're about the size of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, but still adorable.
