This one-to-one animal experience makes for one of the best things to do in Kent for couples and families

Includes entry to Huckleberry Woods micro animal adventures for two people for up to two hours. You'll have plenty of opportunity to stroke the donkeys, feed them their favourite nibbles, take photos and ask questions during your walk. You can stop to greet the micro pigs, alpacas, Teddy Bear sheep, ducks and chickens as you go.

Take Huckleberry Woods' two beautiful miniature Mediterranean donkeys for a half hour leisurely walk around their ancient orchard home. This experience is for a miniature donkey walk for two people.

You'll be accompanied your walk by a Huckleberry Woods donkey handler to help you and your donkey stay safe and happy.

Important Information:

  • This experience is weather dependent as donkeys hate getting wet. If it's pouring with rain the donkeys won't come out of their stable, so if the weather is looking bad please check with Huckleberry Woods by calling before you set off, as your experience may have to be postponed.
  • If you are only spectating you still must have an entry ticket for Huckleberry Woods.
  • Closed toe footwear is essential for your safety – no flip flops or sandals.

Huckleberry Woods is based in an old orchard with no tarmac or concrete anywhere. Wheelchair users are welcome, but, to manage your expectations, it’s a bit of a bumpy ride (a bit like taking a wheelchair into the woods). The ground gets muddy after it’s been raining heavily so, it would definitely be better to aim for a dryer spell.

Fully trained assistance dogs are permitted if they are registered and trained by one of the eight accredited members of Assistance Dogs International or the International Guide Dog Federation.

This experience is enjoyable for two adults or sensible children over nine years of age. Younger children aren't able to accompany the donkeys on their walk.

If you have a child younger than nine years old in your party you will have to bring another adult with you to supervise the child while the donkey walk is taking place.

Children younger than nine will not be permitted to accompany you on the donkey walk. It is not possible to walk our donkeys and carry a child at the same time. This experience is unsuitable for anyone who is unsteady on their feet.

Friends and family are welcome to visit Huckleberry Woods while you're walking your donkeys. They'll need a visitor entry ticket to spectate from a short distance.

Your miniature donkey experience will last around 30 minutes, depending on the speed of the donkeys on the day.

Your experience will take place at some point during the two-hour session, but not necessarily as soon as you arrive. You're welcome to stay for the rest of the session to mingle with our other animals in the orchard.
