The Severn Valley Railway is working hard to make sure that all visitors are able to enjoy travelling on its trains and visiting its stations, regardless of their level of mobility. Wheelchair accommodation is provided on trains, accessible toilets are provided and each carriage carries its own ramp, to facilitate access for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs. You can alight at all stations, and our train crew and station staff will give assistance if you need it.

The historic design of our dining car carriages, with narrow doors and gangways, means it is NOT possible to accommodate wheelchairs at a table in one of these carriages.

All assistance dogs are welcome in SVR restaurants and public houses, on all trains and at the Visitor Centre at Highley. Dogs, whether they are assistance dogs or not, travel free on all our trains. They must be kept on a lead at all times, and must not occupy seats. Dogs are not permitted in first class carriages. Please bear in mind that sudden, loud noises may occur on heritage railway which may startle your dog.
