  • Rush 'N' Rampage: Slip and slide down the crazy turns of these two high-speed water slides. Choose Rush and enjoy an interactive experience! Make your selection from five funky music and light themes before you speed into the Splashdown Pool.
  • Flash Floods: Take a trip outside with Flash Floods: Outdoor Flume Adventures. Take on the outdoor slides before splashing down into the tropical pool.
  • In summertime, head outside to float under the sun and soothe yourself in the Bubbly Wubbly pool
  • Children under 4 years old can access the Waterpark completely free!

Alton Towers Waterpark also has plenty of facilities for the smaller guests, including the Little Leak - a shallow area with interactive play features, floats and slides for tiny tots.

How to find us

By Car:

Alton, Staffordshire, ST10 4DB

Alton Towers Resort is located between the M1 and the M6 and is well signposted from both motorways. Depending on your direction, the nearest motorway exits are:

M1 Northbound – Junction 23a

M1 Southbound – Junction 28

M6 Northbound – Junction 15

M6 Southbound – Junction 16

By Train:

Visitors can travel to Alton Towers Resort by train, via several popular destinations. Visit thetrainline.com to search for train times and prices.  

Uttoxeter Train Station:

Uttoxeter station is the nearest train station to Alton Towers, just 10 miles from the resort. Uttoxeter station is just a 20 minute drive away from the resort or 30 minutes by bus.

Stoke on Trent Station:

Stoke on Trent rail station is 15 miles from Alton Towers Resort. A local taxi would take around 25 minutes to the resort.

Derby Train Station:

Derby train station is around 25 miles from Alton Towers. From there you will need to order a taxi or a car service to arrive at the resort in around 50 minutes to one hour.

By Bus:

D&G Bus operate the X41 which runs between Stafford - Uttoxeter - Alton Towers Resort, and the 32X which operates between Hanley - Cheadle - Alton Towers Resort.

Notts & Derby buses operate the X52 service which runs between Nottingham, Derby and the Alton Towers Resort.

When visiting the Alton Towers Waterpark, here are some things you might want to take with you:

  • Swimwear: It’s compulsory for guests of all ages to wear swimwear at the waterpark. For toddlers, a free swim nappy can be provided from the Waterpark reception, and additional swim nappies can be purchased from the Waterpark shop.
  • Tickets: Make sure you have your waterpark tickets booked in advance to guarantee entry. You can buy individual waterpark tickets online to get the best prices.
  • Hygiene Essentials: Don’t forget essentials like towels, flip-flops, and a change of clothes. You’ll want to dry off comfortably after enjoying the water slides and lazy river.
  • Snacks and Refreshments: While at the waterpark, you can enjoy scrumptious food, including sandwich meal deals, smoothies, and ice cream served poolside. If you’re looking for something more filling, check out the pizza and pasta buffet menu at Flambo’s Exotic Feast Restaurant, which offers great views of the wacky waterpark.

Alton Towers Waterpark operates a strict adult to child ratio of:

One adult (aged 16+) to one child aged 4 or under.
OR
One adult (aged 16+) to two children aged 5, 6 or 7.
This is to comply with health and safety standards and must be adhered to.

All members of the party must be swimming to fulfil the above ratio. All children under 8 years of age must have a supervising adult (16+) with them in the water at all times.

Due to the nature of the attraction, assistance dogs are not allowed in the changing rooms or pool areas of the Alton Towers Waterpark. 

All dogs need to be left supervised within a nearby quiet resting place. Please Note: Dogs banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act are not be permitted on-site (whether muzzled or otherwise).

Absolutely, for disabled guests who are unable to queue, the park offer a Ride Access Pass wristband for the Master Blaster Slide only. Please speak with a staff member on arrival who will be able to assist.
