A unique experience from London to Stonehenge
Being at Stonehenge for the solstice is a truly memorable experience whether you are a Stonehenge, Neolithic, pagan or history enthusiast. Or maybe you are just interested in seeing what all the fuss is about!
Only twice a year, the rare opportunity to see the sun perfectly aligned with the Heel Stone presents itself. On a clear day, you'll be able to see the sun shine right through what is though the entrance and into the inner circle itself.
Every year, lots of people flock to Stonehenge to witness this magical moment that holds an esoteric significance for some. Diverse spiritual groups usually attend, including Hare Krishnas, druids, neo-pagans and wiccans. The summer solstice also offers the chance for you to step inside the inner stone circle, a privilege not permitted with regular Stonehenge entrance on any other day.
