By Bus:

The Rutland Flyer 2 (RF2) bus service leaves Oakham (adjacent to marketplace) for Barnsdale Gardens click here for times.

Barnsdale Gardens is a request stop on this bus service, so please tell the driver you require it to stop.

By Rail:

Rail to Oakham Train Station. There is a regular cross-country train service to Oakham, which runs from Stansted to Birmingham via Cambridge, Peterborough, Stamford, Leicester and the towns and villages in between

Can I bring my own food and drink to Barnsdale Gardens?

The venue do not allow visitors to consume their own food and drinks in the tea room, outside seating area, or any part of the gardens.

Is Barnsdale Gardens wheelchair friendly?

Yes! With most areas being on the flat, they are easily accessible by wheelchair users. There are just a few areas that cannot be accessed by wheelchair and there is plenty of seating for disabled visitors’ assistants, visitors with limited mobility, or for accompanying friends who just want to sit back and take it all in.

Barnsdale has been recognised with an award by the Rutland Access Group for its accessible facilities, which include:
