After setting off from Cardiff Bay, the journey takes passengers through the Cardiff Bay Barrage locking system, where the boat rises or falls with the tide before heading out into the Bristol Channel. Passengers must arrive at least 15 minutes before departure to allow time for check-in, a safety briefing and lifejacket fitting. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated and the trip will depart without them.
