Wildlife, seasons and unforgettable encounters
The Grey Seal Cruise with Seabirds sails all year round, with every season offering something different. Cruise around all of the Farne Islands and enjoy incredible views of cliffs packed with nesting birds and grey seals resting on the rocks.
From May to the end of July, the islands come alive with thousands of nesting seabirds, including puffins, guillemots, terns, kittiwakes, shags and cormorants. In the winter months, from late October to January, you’ll have the chance to see adorable seal pups during the pupping season.
There are an estimated 3,000–4,000 grey seals living around the Farne Islands, and this trip offers fantastic opportunities to see them up close, especially at low tide when more of the rocks are exposed.
With expert commentary throughout, this cruise combines wildlife, scenery and local knowledge into one of the best value experiences on the Northumberland coast.
