By Car:

  • Boughton House is situated off the A43, three miles north of Kettering, through the village of Geddington.
  • If you are visiting Boughton and using a route finder or a satellite navigation system, the postcode to use to arrive at the estate is NN14 1BJ. When you go through Geddington, please follow the brown tourism signs to reach the public and delivery entrance.

By Public Transport:

  • East Midlands Trains run regular services to Kettering from London.
  • On reaching Kettering by public transport, we would recommend a taxi for the remaining three mile journey to Boughton. One Kettering based firm you could try is KLM Taxi’s, they can be reached on 01536 310123.

  • Children under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Due to the historic nature of the Estate, there are uneven surfaces and walkways.
  • Drones must not be used anywhere onsite for the protection of the public and buildings.
  • The Park and Gardens are part of a working Estate, be aware of vehicles and works being undertaken to enable the continued enjoyment of your visit.
  • The Estate is managed naturally to ensure that the different ecosystems work in harmony, please be aware that at different times of the year there can be insects which may sting or bite e.g. ticks, wasps and bees. It is recommended to follow the NHS advice on prevention of bites and stings and the guidance on symptoms and treatment if you experience a bite or sting.
  • Dogs are welcome in the parkland (but not the gardens) as long as they remain on leads due to livestock.

Boughton welcomes all visitors, however with the inherent restrictions of a listed historic building, not all areas are fully accessible.

Dogs are welcome in the gardens and wider parkland when kept on a lead, but they are not permitted inside the House.

  • Well behaved dogs are welcome in the stableyard, gift shop and tearoom on a lead.
  • Please note: Do not leave dogs in cars as there are no shaded areas in the car park.
