By Car:

  • British Ironwork Centre is situated on the A5 just outside of Oswestry Town Centre
  • There are a number of signs placed just outside of the entry
  • Find the site by putting SY11 4JH into your sat-nav

By Rail:

  • Nearest train station is Gobowen, located approx. 5 miles from the site
  • There are no taxi ranks situated at Gobowen Station

 By Bus:

  • Unfortunately there are no bus services that currently stop at the centre

By Foot:

  • The team advise all visitors travelling by foot to walk with caution as the site is located on a very busy A5 road with minimal footpaths
  • Please be aware of vehicles on both the left and right-hand side when walking up the drive

Is British Ironwork Centre wheelchair accessible?

The team at British Ironwork Centre have tried to ensure the site is accessible as possible. 

  • Ramps are provided
  • There is adequate spacing for wheelchair access
  • Most of the grounds are on hard-standing surfaces

There are still some areas with uneven ground and these have been clearly signposted. On particularly wet days, the grass can become more difficult to access. If you are using a wheelchair, the team advise that you only stay on the firm/stone surfaces.

Is British Ironwork Centre dog-friendly?

Yes! There are plenty of walks, water stations and free dog treats onsite.

  • The team request that all dogs remain on a lead and refrain from entering the indoor cafe or showroom.
  • There is plenty of outdoor seating and a garden room that you are welcome to use. 
  • Please clean up any dog mess and deposit into a bin.

Yes! The British Ironwork Centre is home to the Forge Cafe and Showroom, which offer a range of hot and cold meals, light bites and drinks.
