How to find us

Address: The British Music Experience, Cunard Building, Pier Head, Liverpool Waterfront. 

The main entrance is on Canada Boulevard, opposite the Mersey Ferry terminal. For visitors with special mobility requirements, there is an accessible entrance at the side of the building on Brunswick Street.

By Public Transport:

The closest train stations are Merseyrail's James Street and Moorfields. Multiple train providers have services to Liverpool Lime Street. 

All buses into Liverpool drop-off at the Liverpool ONE bus station adjacent to the Albert Dock on the Liverpool Waterfront. 

By Car:

Follow signs to the Waterfront, Albert Dock and Mersey Ferries. Access to the Cunard Building is via Brunswick Street only. 

There is limited on-street metered parking (£6 for up to four hours) along both sides and at the front of the building. There are six disabled bays on Brunswick Street and one on Water Street.

The British Music Experience is a permanent national attraction located in Liverpool, a UNESCO City of Music most notable for The Beatles, Elvis Costello, OMD and Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

From 1st April 2024 - 1st September 2024, the British Music Experience is open seven days a week.

The last entry is at 4pm, and recommended visit time is 90 minutes.

The Star Cafe & Bar closes at 4:30pm.
