Walking through tranquil and peaceful woodland is a great way to unwind after a busy week.

Nature is filled with silence, only broken by the sound of the leaves crunching under your walking boots or the twigs snapping as you make your way down the winding paths.

Beautiful rolling hills and gorgeous forests

Creating the perfect place to explore and connect with nature is Bury Ditches.

With two walking trails as well as a rewarding site at the top of your ascent that oozes history, you get to experience it all here.

Set within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you'll be blown away as, wherever you look, you'll be greeted by gorgeous hills with unobstructed views, making it the perfect getaway from busy life.

Set off on one of the trails

Both trails offer you a short but sharp ascent through breathtaking woodland. The walks are bound to get your heart pumping, but the views are worth it!

At the top of your climb, you'll come across a hill fort that dates back to 500BC.

It’s thought to be one of the best-preserved hill forts in the country, so any history lovers need to pop a visit here onto their bucket list.

Take Chieftan's Walk for a slightly shorter stroll or maybe Druids' Walk which is almost two miles long sounds like the better experience for you.

Both take you to the hill fort, so whichever you choose, you’re guaranteed spectacular views as a reward for your efforts.
