Based down in Bournemouth, the centre is a haven not only for gamers, but those looking to shake up their usual gaming experience.

As soon as you pull on the VR headset, are handed the controls and begin the game, you’re immediately transported into another world.

What that world holds is entirely up to you.

Step into the realms of Wonderland to join the White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat. Join fellow gamers or friends as you head into the world of Assassin’s Creed. Or filter between smaller games like Fruit Ninja, Job Simulator and Angry Birds for a little taste of everything.

It’s entirely up to you. Don’t worry too much about the game you had to miss this time though, because it won’t be long until you’re back, pulling on your headset again.

Hold… hold … FIRE

We’re sure you’ve had your fair share of pretend gun battles in the past, blasting your sibling or friend with a pointed finger.

But how do you feel about taking that up a level? Centre VR has three laser-tag-style games where it’s up to you and your team to wipe out the opposition before they get you!

Tower Tag is the most popular, pitting teams of up to eight players against one another in futuristic environments. You’ll even have a vest on, so when you get shot in the game, you’ll feel it for real.

What will your approach be? A complex, strategic plan? Or going all guns-ablaze and relying a little on talent and a lot on luck? You’ll have to see which one works best for you!

Your food needs will be covered when you’re at the centre, as you can get Papa Johns delivered straight to your table. There’s a café as well if you’re after something slightly smaller.
