What's on at Cheese & Chilli Festival 2024 in Swindon?

  • Wrestling Madness: See skilled wrestlers take to the ring in an epic wrestling matches, will the Cheese Corner or Chilli Corner win?
  • Cooking Theatre: Chilli Olly and Chilli Dave will be giving a number of cooking demonstrations and talks, as well as featuring some special guestts. 
  • Chilli Challenge: A crazy 30 minutes of watching people try to devour a hot meal prepared by Olly and Dave the quickest!
  • Chilli-Eating Competition: Watch grown adults struggle to eat super hot fruits, with hilarious consequences in this firey contest!
  • Taste Tent: Sample sauces from various traders around the site, then be the judge of which ones your favourite in a ballot. 
  • Mat Follas: Winner of BBC Masterchef in 2009, Mat will be making an appearance at the Cheese & Chilli Festival where you can discover his products. 
  • Mini Fun Fair: Explore amusement rides and fairground games when the Mini Fun Fair arrives at Cheese & Chilli Festival.

How to find us

By car: 

You can find the Cheese & Chilli Festival at Lydiard Park, Lydiard Tregoze, Swindon, SN5 3PA (for SAT NAV please follow SN5 3NY as this takes you to the Hook Street entrance which is where the event is being held).

For the easiest access, please leave the M4 at Junction 16, onto the A3102 and then turn left onto the B4534 and then at the roundabout, turn left onto Hook Street where you will find the entrance on the right hand side. Temporary signage will be visible as well as the standard brown signage directing guests to Lydiard Park.

There is plenty of parking available at the Park. Please note, the council operates a pay and display car parking scheme at the park, £2.10 for 2 hours and £4.40 for the whole day.

Yes, dogs are welcome at all Cheese & Chilli Festival dates. If you bring your dog, please make sure to pick up after them and keep them on a lead at all times. 

Yes, all children up to and including the age of 15 can visit for free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Concession tickets are available to the following individuals: 

  • Seniors over 65

  • Carers

Please provide ID in all cases at the door. 

Free parking is available at the Christchurch and Guildford festivals. At the Winchester, Swindon and Chichester events, the local council offer access to town centre parking. At the Swindon site, the council offer a chargeable pay and display facility at the site. 

Yes, there are toilet facilities available at each of the festival locations. 

No, the chilli-eating competitions are free to enter. 

Early Bird Tickets are valid up until 8pm on the Wednesday prior to the event weekend. After this point, standard rates will take effect.
