  • Clifton Observatory is approximately a 5-minute walk from the bus stop on Observatory Road where the number 8 bus to Temple Meads rail station stops, and a 20-minute walk from Clifton Down rail station.

Is Clifton Observatory wheelchair accessible?

The café and patio is wheelchair accessible; however the rooftop terrace, Giant’s Cave and Museum are not. Additionally, the cave, accessed by 130 steep steps, is not suitable for children under 4, those with mobility issues or people who suffer from claustrophobia.
