The Private Family Coasteering sessions allow you the parent to enjoy the session at your own pace and relax as your family is guided through the two-hour session by two of the team, the most supportive and experienced Coasteering guides!
What to expect on your family coasteering adventure:
- Two Hour Session: Each session is two hours long from once the group is ready.
- Knowledgeable guides: Experienced coasteering guides to coach and support you.
- Wild swimming: short swimming sections linking Coaster elements
- Deepwater cliff jumps: progressive and optional cliff jumps throughout your session
- Sluices, gullies, and whirlpools: learn to utilize the sea & play with moving water
Being a private session for you and your family, the team can take our time and enjoy the experience. You won’t have to do anything you don’t want to – you can take it easy or push your limits.
You don’t need to complete any big jumps in order to make the next section. Make it as easy or as hard for yourself as you wish!

Just bring a towel, flip flops for the beach, and something to wear under a wetsuit!
The team will provide you with all wetsuits, surfboards or any other equipment that your group requires, all included in the price.

Cornish Wave are based in the heart of Newquay and are a short walk from both Towan & Fistral beach. The tide and surf conditions of the day will decide which beach is best suited.
The minimum age for group lessons is 8 years old. Where possible the team keep children and families together.
