What else is on at South Wales: Dark Sky Wales?

What happens on the day

First things first, you’ll meet with the Dark Sky Wales team, who will provide you with an initial briefing of the area and what to expect from the evening.

You'll then be taken to the Brecon Beacons Observatory, where astronomers will use the observatory and assorted portable telescopes to show you numerous celestial objects and be on hand to answer any questions.

In the event of bad visibility, you’ll be provided with informative astronomical talks in a warm room located near the observatory.

Duration and starting time

Please allow two hours for the full experience.

The starting time may be subject to changes depending on the moon phase. You will receive an email or text confirming the time of your experience seven days beforehand.

What to bring
