Book your Steam Train Ride for a round-trip on the famous Dean Forest Railway

Enjoy a relaxing journey along the Dean Forest Railway behind one of their impressive steam locomotives.

This is Dean Forest Railway's most popular train ride. If you're visiting the area and you're looking for things to do in the Forest of Dean, this is the ideal experience and suitable for all ages.

Your journey begins at Norchard Station, travelling south to Lydney Junction. There you will enjoy a 20-minute break while the engine runs round. Here you'll have your chance to see the locomotives close up, and the operation of the level crossing gates and the ‘run round’ procedures!

And then north to Parkend, a classic branch line station, where there will be one more 20-minute break for the engine to run around, before returning to Norchard.
