The Dreamcatcher is the latest addition to New Quay's fleet, it has an all-round viewing experience with an island wheelhouse. With 9m of deck either side it is ideal to walk around and take in the sights from any point.

Seating onboard will be allocated with group sizes in mind, however everyone is free to move about the boat unrestricted with 360° access.

The Dreamcatcher departs daily from the main pier of the picturesque village of New Quay. From here, the journey will take you South along the coast passing Birds Rock, The Caves, Cwmtydu and Seals Bay.

You will see some of the many seabirds that nest and feed from the cliffs and will also get the chance to witness some extraordinary marine life such as Atlantic grey seals, harbour porpoise and bottlenose dolphins.

The experienced skipper and crew will answer all your questions about the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast (CMHC) and the Ceredigion Special Area of conservation, as well as the local history and legends of the area too!

Where is Dolphin Spotting Boat Trips located?

Trips depart from the Harbour Master's Building on the Main Pier of New Quay. 

Please note, this is New Quay in West Wales, not Newquay, Cornwall. We unfortunately cannot offer refunds for tickets booked by mistake.

Before you set sail information

Please note: These trips depart from New Quay, Wales (SA45), not Newquay in Cornwall

Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Dolphins are wild animals, so every trip is different. Spotting them is all part of the adventure!

Arriving for your boat trip

  • Please arrive at the end of the main pier at least 10 minutes before departure
  • During school holidays, bank holidays and peak periods, allow up to 1 hour for parking and travel to the pier
  • Popular nearby car parks: SA45 9PB and SA45 9QH
  • There's no need to visit the booking office before your trip. Head straight to your boat

Important

  • Boats cannot wait for late arrivals and missed trips may not be refundable
  • If you're running late, call 01545 560 800 or 07973 272 241 as soon as possible
  • Please make sure you know your boat name and departure time before boarding

Trip Operations

  • Trips require a minimum number of passengers to run. If this isn't met, you'll be offered an alternative sailing or a full refund
  • This is more likely during quieter months such as September and October

Dogs are welcome on Dolphin Spotting Boat Trips on a few conditions:

  • Dogs which do not like people or other dogs are not welcome as they will not enjoy the experience and could spoil the trip for others.
  • Dogs must remain within your allocated space and not enter the 2m distance between your group and the next.
  • Dogs must be kept off the seats, dogs on laps are okay.
