Meet the most notorious characters from Edinburgh's past at the Edinburgh Dungeon, brought to life by a cast of professional actors. 

Begin your journey with a sentencing at Judge Mental's Courtroom, followed by a visit to the grisly Torture Chamber in two of the Dungeon's classic shows.

You'll then come face-to-face with some of Edinburgh's most feared figures, such as cannibal Sawney Bean, Edinburgh's baddest witch Agnes Finnie, notorious serial killers Burke & Hare, a 17th century Plague Doctor and more!

Is Edinburgh Dungeon wheelchair-accessible?

Yes, Edinburgh Dungeon is wheelchair-accessible, but the attraction does require wheelchair reservations due to health and safety restrictions.

  • Navigation around the Dungeon is mainly via level pathways - however, there are some areas where the floor surfaces are uneven. 
  • For safety reasons, Edinburgh Dungeons can only accommodate one guest using a wheelchair at a time to ensure an evacuation chair is available to exit the building. 
  • Some guests have to be able to transfer from wheelchair to chair on the stairlift.
