Follow your self-guided audio tour past the many pieces of art. From 25 March to 25 September 2022, you can enjoy the temporary exhibition 'Masterpieces from Buckingham Palace'. See some of the greatest masterpieces from the Royal Collection. Admire artworks by Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Rubens, and Artemisia Gentileschi.
The historical building of the gallery dates back to the 1840s. Then, it was the Holyrood Free Church and Duchess of Gordon's school. Her Majesty The Queen opened the gallery as it is today in 2002 as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The Palace of Holyroodhouse stands at the end of Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile.
