By car:

Eureka! The National Children's Museum is in Halifax, which is about halfway between Leeds and Manchester. Leave the M62 at jct 24, follow A629 to Halifax, then follow brown tourist signs to Eureka! You can find the site via Sat-Nav at the postcode HX1 2NE. 

By bus: 

Eureka! The National Children's Museum is a 5-minute walk from Halifax bus station. It can be reached via bus directly from Bradford (35 mins), Huddersfield (35 mins) and Leeds (1 hour). 

By train: 

Eureka! is right next door to Halifax railway station, served by regular trains from Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester. It can be reached via train from Bradford (15 mins), Huddersfield (25 mins), Leeds (35 mins), Manchester (50 mins) and York (1 hour 10 mins).

No. Eureka! The National Children’s Museum is an attraction designed for children aged 0 – 11 and their parents or caregivers. They do run special adult-only Lates events for those who want to visit without a child in their booking.

Dogs are not permitted at Eureka! The National Children's Museum. Assistance dogs are permitted, and can be provided a bowl of water upon request. 

Is Eureka! National Children's Museum in Halifax the same as Eureka! Science + Discovery in Wallasey?

Eureka! has two very different sites in Wallasey and Halifax, but you'll recognise the Eureka! approach at both sites. 

Eureka! The National Children's Museum is designed as an interactive museum for ages 0-11, rather than a science museum.
