By car:

Eureka! The National Children's Museum is in Halifax, which is about halfway between Leeds and Manchester. Leave the M62 at jct 24, follow A629 to Halifax, then follow brown tourist signs to Eureka! You can find the site via Sat-Nav at the postcode HX1 2NE

By bus: 

Eureka! The National Children's Museum is a 5-minute walk from Halifax bus station. It can be reached via bus directly from Bradford (35 mins), Huddersfield (35 mins) and Leeds (1 hour). 

By train: 

Eureka! is right next door to Halifax railway station, served by regular trains from Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester. It can be reached via train from Bradford (15 mins), Huddersfield (25 mins), Leeds (35 mins), Manchester (50 mins) and York (1 hour 10 mins).

Yes, there are a limited number of picnic spaces inside the museum, but there is lots of space outside to eat picnics. 

There are no lockers at Eureka! so please pack as lightly as possible. 

Dogs are not permitted at Eureka! The National Children's Museum. Assistance dogs are permitted, and can be provided a bowl of water upon request. 

Eureka! The National Children's Museum provides extra support for any visitor that needs it. Simply ask a member of staff if you need support, including wheelchairs, hearing loops, ear defenders, or spare clothes.

Eureka! has two very different sites in Wallasey and Halifax, but you'll recognise the Eureka! approach at both sites. 

Eureka! The National Children's Museum is designed as an interactive museum for ages 0-11, rather than a science museum.
