What is the Camel Trail?

The Camel Trail is one of the most popular recreational cycle trails in the UK. Running along the River Camel in Cornwall, it's a go-to trail for anyone wishing to explore the area and Cornwall's hidden gems.

The Camel Trail runs from Padstow to Wenfordbridge passing through Wadebridge and Bodmin along the route. The trail passes through beautiful wooded countryside in the Camel Valley as well as the picturesque Camel Estuary.

With its picturesque landscapes, stunning views, and serene atmosphere, it's the perfect destination for cyclists of all levels.

Where will the Camel Trail take me?

Start by cycling through historic Bodmin and then onto the famous Camel Trail. From here you can cycle the beautiful tree covered sections to Wadebridge with little other cycle traffic. This is the ideal route for half day bike rentals.

For a full day bike rental, you can continue to Padstow on the busier part of the trail but with stunning views of the Camel Estuary.

Or, you can head the other way, away from the crowds, through gorgeous Cornish countryside towards Wenfordbridge.

When you collect your bikes, the team at Explore by Bike will be there to help you if you have any questions about your route.
