Wimborne Ghost Walks

at Extours UK Ghost Tours

Wimborne Available until Sat 7 Feb

Wimborne Minster is a town with stories in every shadow, from its cobbled courtyards and timber‑framed inns to the winding alleys

Legends cling to Wimborne like ivy, and once the sun dips behind the Minster’s twin towers, the town’s quieter whispers begin to stir.

Wimborne Ghost walks highlights:

The Wimborne Ghost Walk brings these stories to life in a way that’s fun, engaging and full of atmosphere. Dorset is a county rich with mysteries: rugged coastline folklore, ancient villages, bustling market towns and forgotten tales passed from generation to generation.

This isn’t just a guided walk, it’s a chance to become part of the mystery. Guests are invited to use authentic ghost-hunting equipment, including:

  • EMF meters to detect electromagnetic anomalies
  • Dowsing rods to trace unseen energies
  • Spirit communication tools used in real investigations

This walk dips into all of that — blending lively storytelling, local history and light‑touch paranormal investigation to explore the curious, the quirky and the intriguingly unexplained.

Along the route, guests wander past old inns with colourful pasts, alleyways rumoured to harbour echoes of long‑ago residents, and hidden corners where strange accounts have lingered through time. Every stop reveals a new layer of Wimborne’s heritage, from mischievous spirits to peculiar anecdotes woven into the town’s fabric.

Wimborne Ghost Walks details:

  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Meeting point: The Square, Wimborne, BH21 1JA

The walk is designed to be fun rather than frightening. There are no jump scares, no pitch‑black frights — just a welcoming atmosphere where history meets mystery with a smile. Guests can choose to get hands‑on with simple paranormal tools, or simply relax and enjoy the tales as they unfold.
