About Faust at the Royal Opera House in London's West End

Disillusioned with his wasted life and emptiness of old age, scholar Faust makes a desperate plea - and unfortunately for him, the devil is the one who answers...

But the devil has other ideas. The wily, charming and devious Méphistophélès wants to make Faust a deal - but the price is Faust's soul. 

In exchange, the devil offers youth, wealth and the love of the beautiful Marguerite.

Unable to resist the offer and seduced by the promise of renewed passion and purpose, Faust accepts, sending him spiralling into the world of temptation and desire. 

At first, everything is perfect - Faust revels in his rebirth, and the enchanting Marguerite falls under his spell. But as the affair deepens, so do the consequences.

What began as a wish for escape rapidly becomes a harrowing descent, where love may be the path to ruin.
