How to find us

By car:

Leave the M25 at junction 24 and take the Stagg Hill/Cockfosters Road (A111). Continue for approximately 2.5 miles on the A111 and head straight over three roundabouts.

Turn left into the main entrance of Trent Country Park. Sometimes your Sat-Nav will try and send you to another entrance - make sure you join from Cockfosters Road!

The main entrance to Trent Country Park is not signposted to Go Ape, so you'll need to keep your eyes peeled.

We suggest that you wear something you don’t mind getting grubby. Dress for the weather so bring along a mac if it’s raining!

You need to make sure you have the correct footwear with closed toe and heel (with flat soles), no sandals or slip-off shoes.

Your stomach area will need to be covered and long hair must be tied back.

You can join the Challenge Plus at Go Ape Cockfosters if you're:

  • Minimum age: 10 years
  • Minimum height: 1.4m/4ft 7in
  • Maximum weight: 130kg/20.5st

Please note: One participating adult (18+) can supervise up to two children aged 10 to 15 years while on the course.

Go Ape is an excellent wet weather activity! The course remains open in all weathers, except when it is icy, stormy, in high winds or during lightning. Rain makes the course muddier than usual – which all adds to the fun! Don’t forget to dress for the weather.

Sometimes, unfortunately, course may need to be closed for reasons beyond Go Ape's control, if this happens you will be given a full refund.
