How To Find Us

By Car:

Head southeast on A7 towards Dalkeith, follow signs for Dalkeith Country Park. Enter the park from the King's Gate entrance, located just off the A6094, or from the Edinburgh Bypass (A720):

Take the exit for the A68 towards Jedburgh/Dalkeith, follow the signs for Dalkeith. Turn right onto the A6094 (Dalkeith Country Park is signposted). Enter through the King's Gate entrance. There is ample parking available in the park, and from the parking area, follow the signs to Go Ape.

By Bus:

There are several bus routes connect Edinburgh to Dalkeith. Lothian Buses services 3, 33, and 49 go to Dalkeith. Once in Dalkeith, it's a short walk or taxi ride to the park.

By Train:

Take a train from Edinburgh Waverley to Eskbank Station. Next, from Eskbank Station, it's a short taxi ride or a 20-minute walk to Dalkeith Country Park.

What is Stumped at Go Ape?

Stumped is a logic game. You travel around the site grounds to find ten different puzzles, answering clues to work out a 4-number code.

You use this code to unlock a key safe to find a letter. The ten letters spell a word. Some puzzles are trickier than others. You also might need to revisit the different puzzles if the code doesn't open the safe!

What age is Stumped suitable for?

Stumped is suitable for those 8 years old and above. We recommend younger children participate in a school or family group.

Most children aged 12 and above will be able to complete Stumped without input from adults. However, as with any logic game, this will depend upon the child, they may find some puzzles harder than others.

All children need to be adequately supervised by an adult aged 18 or older.
