More Info
Is GreenWood Family Park wheelchair accessible?

The Park has many areas fully accessible to either assisted or powered wheelchairs, including the Woodbarn Cafe & Play, Acorn Gift Shop, Birthday Party Room, toilets, boardwalks and slate paths.

GreenWood is, however, an Adventure Park and there are certain areas/rides and activities which a disabled visitor will find it difficult or impossible  to access. In addition there are height and age restrictions in place on some activities and rides. In advance or on the day of your visit, GreenWood staff will be only too happy to help with queries.

There are two wheelchairs which can be used by visitors for their day out. It is best to ring and book this in advance.

Is GreenWood Family Park sensory friendly?

There are some who may have difficulties in queuing for long periods of time. This may be due to difficulties in understanding the concept of queuing, having problems with every day social interaction, have a limited capacity to follow instructions or to understand the emotional feelings of others or may become agitated or distressed having to wait for extended periods of time. ‘Ride Assist’ service is available on supervised rides only. For further information visitors should quote ‘Ride Assist’ on arrival. They will then be directed into the Acorn Gift Shop where they will be asked for some basic information and provided with a tick sheet.

Please note:- Proof of entitlement may be requested at the time of admission.

Are there age or height restrictions on rides and activities?

There are a number of height restrictions on rides and activities which include the Green Dragon roller coaster, Forest Glider and the Solar Splash with each a minimum height requirement of 100cm to ride accompanied by an adult. Forest Glider riders over 100m, Green Dragon riders over 120cm and Solar Splash guests over 125cm can all ride alone.

What time is GreenWood Family Park open?

Gates open 10am – Gates close 5.30pm

Are rides still open if it rains?

With the exception of the Giant Jumper (bouncy pillow) all rides will still operate during wet weather. Please wear suitable clothing.

Are dogs allowed at the park?

Yes, well behaved dogs are allowed onto the park as long as they are kept on a short lead, friendly towards others and there are no issues with persistent barking. As dogs must be supervised at all times, please do not tie them up and leave them unattended. Dogs (with the exception of Guide & Assistance Dogs) are not permitted in the Woodbarn Cafe & Play.
