Where is Gulliver's Kingdom theme park?

Gulliver's Kingdom is nestled on the edge of the Peak District National Park in the county of Derbyshire.

It's located perfectly for families looking for things to do with the kids in the Peak District. Plus, its within an hour's drive from Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham and Stoke-on-Trent.

There are so many rides and activities to choose from at Gulliver's Kingdom across seven fantastic kingdoms:

  1. Western World - who wants to play cowboys and Indians? Immerse yourselves in a Western World full of mining, log flumes, saloons, Indian reserve play areas and more!

  2. Safari Kingdom - for the little dare devils among you, Safari Kingdom is host to some fantastic rides including the Tree Top Drop, Safari Chair Lift and Safari Dodgems.

  3. Lost World - every family has someone who loves dinosaurs, and its not always the kids! Enjoy water rides, trails and dig for fossils in Gulliver's Lost World

  4. Explorer's Playhouse - where the rugrats can get their hands dirty! An interactive play kingdom with sand pits, rides, play areas and tractor rides

Adventuring is thirsty (and hungry) work! When you get a little peckish, or totally famished after all the excitement, Gulliver's Kingdom has you covered. There are lots of food&drink spots to satisfy your rumbling tummies.

There's the Canyon Grill with the kids' favourites like burgers, hotdogs, nuggets and the classic sides and drinks, the Tamu Feast for pizzas and lighter bites like sandwiches and jacket potatoes with handy meal deal options and the Happy Haddock for classic fish and chips. Plus, a Costa Coffee for the grownups, we suspect you may need a pitstop here...

There are also lots of picnic spots around if packing a family picnic is more your thing.

How to find us

Car

Enter DE4 3PG into your SatNav.

If you are on the M1 simply exit Junction 28 and follow the signs.

If you are approaching on the M6 from the south, take the A38 towards Lichfield, following it north until you see the signposts.


Train 

The Derby to Matlock train runs through Matlock Bath approx every 1½ hours Mon-Sat and every 2 hours on a Sunday. 

Matlock Bath train station is a 10-15 min walk from the park, follow the river on your left until you get to the Fishpond pub and follow the little path up the hill.


Bus

The Transpeak runs from Manchester to Derby stopping in Matlock Bath. The service runs every 1 hour from Buxton/Derby or 2 hours if coming from Manchester/Stockport.

The number 17 bus from Chesterfield to Matlock and then catch the Transpeak or R61 to the Fishpond pub. Every 1 hour Mon to Sat. On Sundays the buses run every 2 hours.

Get off at the Fishpond pub and then it is just a short walk up the hill.
