Uncover the history of Harvington Hall for one of the most unique days out in the West Midlands

Harvington Hall today stands as a beautiful example of Elizabethan architecture in Worcestershire. However, this manor hides a dark past, earning the nickname of the "House of Secrets"...

This nickname comes from a dark past, when during the reign of Elizabeth I, Catholicism was prosecuted and priests faced the threat of being hanged, drawn and quartered should they be captured. It was then that Harvington Hall owner Humphrey Pakington, a catholic, fitted the house with an intricate network of 'priest holes' for the religion to be practiced in secret.

The former 'priest holes' can be seen today and make a truly fascinating sight on your visit to Harvington Hall.

Once you've explored the house on a Guided or Self-Guided tour, be sure to visit the surrounding moat and picturesque gardens, making it a perfect destination for history enthusiasts and those seeking a serene, historical escape alike.

Step back in time today and go for a fantastic family day out at Harvington Hall in Worcestershire!
