What are the six Historic Royal Palaces?

There are six historic royal palaces to choose from. Five of the six are based in London, and one is located on a vast and beautiful 100-acre estate in Northern Ireland.

Being a city with such a long and fascinating history, it is only natural that there's a huge selection of historic sites for you to visit on your days out in London. With so many things to do in London, you can't go wrong when you choose one of the many Historic Royal Palaces the big smoke has to offer.

Hampton Court Palace - London

A favourite palace of Henry VIII, Hampton Court Palace is an insight into the rule of England's most infamous king. Admire the unique combination of styles with the Tudor halls and a Baroque palace and admire the beauty of Hampton Court Palace's 60 acres of gardens.

Kensington Palace - London

The birthplace of England's second-longest serving ruler, Queen Victoria, Kensington Palace had been the home for young royals for over 300 years. Now you can walk in the same footsteps as the many kings and queens of old and present day. It remains the official residence of the William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children.

Tower of London - London

Arguably the most iconic of all the royal sites in London, the Tower of London is one of the most important buildings in London's history. See the iconic Yeoman Warders, or Beefeaters, the famous ravens that call the tower their home and of course, the Crown Jewels themselves.

Banqueting Hall - London

Admire the epic Rubens' ceiling and discover the site of Charles I’s execution at Banqueting House in Whitehall

Hillsborough Castle - Northern Ireland

Visit Hillsborough Castle and discover over 100 acres of ornamental lawns, meandering waterways, peaceful woodlands and picturesque glens throughout the seasons.
