House of Deceit

You are not required to read these rules, unless you want to win:

Premise: 

• While staying at a large house by the sea, a group of people are slowly murdered, one by bloody one. 
• Every time there is a murder, the group gather together and hold a trial to execute a suspect. 
• Those murdered, and those executed, remain in the game to influence and engage with the investigation. 
• They have to, because if their team loses, they will also face the final forfeit...
• It's a race against time, when the countdown hits zero, those remaining must create a pact of three people. To win, the killers must try to infiltrate this pact. 

The Game: 

• A majority of the players are assigned as 'innocents'
• A minority of the players are assigned as 'killers'
• The pact of three must be made by 9:00pm on Night 2, or the innocents lose the game and the killers win...

Innocents Objective: 

• Execute all of the killers, and agree on a pact of three

Killers Objective:

• The objective of the game is to infiltrate one killer into the pact of three
• More than one killer in the pact will yield the game to the innocents
• At no point can the killers outnumber the innocents. When six players are left, the killers will execute one of their own...

Basic format/schedule: 

• This is a live format with unpredictable twists and turns along the way
• The host of the game has the right to amend the pacing of a game. However:
• Approx. 90 minutes after a murder, an execution takes place
• Approx. 60 minutes after an execution, a murder takes place

Additional rules: 

• Before 7:00pm on Night 2, trials must only be held at the time directed by the countdown. 
• When there are eight or more players: If a killer is found in a trial, the killers have the option to commit two murders at the next killing. 
• When five players remain: Murders and executions stop until 7:00pm on Night 2. 
• Executions will resume at 7:00pm on Night 2. There must be two executions before 9:00pm (no murders) and timing is down to the players. 
• At 9:00pm, the killers are revealed...

The Final Forfeit: 

• The losing team will face the final forfeit the following morning; a swim in the ice cold North Sea Estuary! 

Yes, all bookings include a stay at the House of Deceit, which can accommodate a group of up to 15 people. 

The accommodation is at The Old Doctor's Manor House in Whitstable, a bespoke holiday home with four poster beds, a hot tub, a games room, and is in close proximity to the sea. 

The House of Deceit can accommodate bookings for groups of 8-15 people. 

Supervised under 18s can play, but the nature of the game is quite intense, so a child's participation is up to the discretion of the parent/guardian. 

Yes, supervised pets are welcome.
