About House of Games

Renowned psychoanalyst and bestselling author Dr. Margaret Ford takes on a new patient: Billy, a man entangled in a web of dangerous addictions—sex, drugs, and high-stakes gambling at the shadowy House of Games.

But Dr. Ford has motives of her own. In search of inspiration for her next book, she’s drawn into Chicago’s criminal underbelly, where she encounters Mike, a magnetic and enigmatic gambler. What begins as research quickly spirals into a psychological cat-and-mouse game, where identities blur, the rules are unclear, and no one knows who truly holds the upper hand.

This thrilling stage adaptation of David Mamet’s noir classic comes from acclaimed playwright Richard Bean, returning to Hampstead Theatre after his successes with ReykjavikTo Have and To Hold, and Kiss Me.
