Is there an age limit on Kernow Slide?

The minimum age to ride the Kernow Slide alone is 5 years old.

Visitors must be able to swim and climb over the inflatable barrier to exit the slide unaided. 

Children aged 4 and under must ride with an adult aged 16+, and cannot be alone on the slide or steps at any time. 

Can people with medical conditions go on the Kernow Slide?

If you have a back or neck injury or are pregnant, the team strongly advise against participating. If you're unsure, you should speak to your doctor first. 

What should you wear to the Kernow Slide?

You can wear anything to the Kernow Slide, as long as there are not zips, buttons, rivets or anything sharp.

  • Wetsuits, swimwear, rash vests and leggings are recommended.
  • Jewellery must be removed or covered up.
  • You may wear glasses at your own risk. 
  • You must wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet. 

Please note: There is a chance of friction burns so please cover up any exposed skin where possible. 

Are spectators allowed to watch?

Yes, spectators are more than welcome to watch the fun! Bring your family and friends and enjoy a picnic on the benches, or opt for some snacks on the camping chairs. 

Does the slide close in bad weather?

The team keep an extremely close eye on the weather, and will make decisions early if they need to close the attraction for the day. 

  • The slide remains open during rain.
  • The slide only closes if there is lightening. 

If the slide does close, you'll be notified by email and it will be clearly displayed on Kernow Slide's social media. 

Can I leave my car keys with venue staff?

Yes, venue staff can look after your car keys. Please ask during check-in.

Are inflatable rings and bodyboards provided?

A selection of single rings, double rings and bodyboards will be available for use during the event.

Please return all equipment after use.

Only one rider is permitted per bodyboard, but two people may use a double ring together. Children are welcome to sit with an adult on the rings.

Are there toilets and changing facilities available?

Toilets are available on site; however, there are no changing facilities. Please arrive ready to slide and don't forget to bring a towel.

Can I bring my dog?

Pets are welcome as long as they are well behaved, Dogs must be on a lead and kept away from the slide.

When should I arrive?

It is recommended that guests arrive 10–15 minutes before the start of their session. On arrival, please visit the check-in desk to sign in and collect wristbands.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, waterproof cameras and GoPros may be used on the slide at the owner's risk. Kernow Slide cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to personal equipment.

Please be respectful of other guests' privacy when taking photos or videos.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Weather conditions are monitored closely, and a decision will be made as early as possible if the event needs to close. The event will only close in the event of lightning or strong winds and will remain open during rain.

If the event is cancelled due to weather conditions, ticket holders will have the option to rebook for another date or receive a full refund.

Can I bring alcohol?

No Alcohol or drugs are permitted on site, anyone found to have alcohol or drugs or be under the influence will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.

How is the water treated?

The water is tested daily and treated with chlorine the same as a swimming pool is looked after, the water is also run through a filter.
