Adriana Mater is set during a brutal civil war, where Adriana’s life is forever changed after she becomes pregnant following a violent assault.

Choosing compassion over despair, she raises her son Yonas with love, shielding him from the truth about his father. Years later, when Yonas discovers his origins, he is driven by anger and a desire for revenge.
