Ludlow is the original food and drink festival that continues to set the standard for flavour, creativity and culinary inspiration!

Held in the historic market town of Ludlow, this much-loved festival brings together the very best of the Marches region, showcasing outstanding local produce alongside an exciting programme of demonstrations, talks, tastings and hands-on activities.

A Packed Programme of Food, Fire and Flavour: Ludlow Food Festival offers a dynamic schedule across the weekend, with something happening at every turn.

  • Live Cookery Demonstrations: Get right up close to the action as talented chefs take to the stage to share techniques, tips and recipes in a series of lively, interactive demonstrations
  • Talks & Conversations: Hear inspiring stories from chefs, food writers and artisan producers from the UK and beyond. Many sessions include opportunities for book signings and audience questions, making these talks as engaging as they are informative
  • Festival Shopping at Its Finest: The festival is renowned for its exceptional shopping, featuring independent and artisan food and drink producers exclusive to the Marches. Visitors can browse and buy everything from deli treats, baked goods and preserves to dairy, meat, vegetarian delights, snacks and kitchen accessories – perfect for stocking up on favourites or discovering something new
  • The British Live Fire Cooking Championships: Bringing the heat to Ludlow, the British Live Fire Cooking Championships return after launching in 2024. Watch as skilled contestants battle it out over open flames to be crowned champion, earning automatic entry into the World Food Championships in the USA. Expect drama, smoke, and seriously impressive cooking
  • Discover the Slow Food Garden: Slow Food takes centre stage in its own dedicated area – the Slow Food Garden. Here, sixteen Slow Food businesses showcase their produce alongside barrel tastings and a Slow Food Bar. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the celebrations continue with the Slow Food Feast in the Beacon Rooms, hosted by Chef Steve ‘The Hungry Guy’

Can I bring my dog to Ludlow Food Festival?

Well-behaved dogs, on a lead, are allowed in the Castle grounds...But NOT in any marquee, under marquee cover or anywhere where food preparation is taking place (except guide dogs) - this includes most of the areas where the food and drink exhibtors are located, and where the demonstrations take place. Please keep this in mind when planning your day.

Is there wheelchair access at Ludlow Food Festivals?

Wheelchair hire - they do have a limited number of light use wheelchairs that can be hired over the weekend with a £30 deposit left until their return.

Disabled toilets - can be found at the car park off Castle Square, and in the Castle during the Food and Drink Festival.

Blue Badge parking - as well as local on-street Blue Badge parking, there will be dedicated Festival Blue Badge parking available at.

Is there baby changing at Ludlow Food Festival?

There are baby changing and feeding facilities available within the festival; these are based within small marquees and contain a table and chairs for your use. There is also a small amount of disposable changing mats and wipes available for your use, if needed, along with sanitizing gel.
