Is the Milky Way an all-weather attraction?

Yes, only the very heaviest of downpours and strong winds can affect the coasters, and there's also plenty of indoor fun to be had.

Is the Milky Way a full day out?

Yes, most families visiting the Milky Way tend to spend the full day there. Advising early is recommended, so that you can maximise your enjoyment and your value for money.

Are dogs allowed at the Milky Way?

Whilst dogs aren't actively encouraged to come to the park, calmer, friendlier and older dogs with responsible owners are welcome, but the nature of the park makes it unsuitable for excitable puppies, or dogs that may find busy, noisy environments stressful.

You must book a ticket for your dog and must be kept on a short lead by an adult aged 18+, and must never be left alone in vehicles.

Please see the full Milky Way Adventure Park dog policy below:

You must book a ticket for your dog, which covers a small charge for cleaning costs. They must be kept on a short lead by an adult 18 years+ and never be left alone in vehicles. You’ll need public liability insurance and must agree to our dog policy on arrival.

Whilst we don’t actively encourage dogs to come to the park, we’re happy to admit very calm, friendly and well-behaved older dogs with responsible owners – the park is not suitable for excitable puppies. Please note that you must have public liability insurance that covers your dog/dogs (normally included in standard dog insurance policies – annual membership to the Dogs Trust for £25 also provides this cover).

We want to continue to accept dogs and in order to do this we need to minimise ill feeling and complaints from other guests, we therefore ask you to think very carefully before bringing large or potentially intimidating dogs to the park. To help us continue allowing dogs into the park, please only bring them if you have no alternative (i.e., if you can’t leave them at home or with someone). Dogs must not be left in any vehicle parked at the park.

We charge a small fee per dog to cover admin and cleaning, and to limit numbers. During peak times, please book online in advance to ensure space for your dog.  Dogs are not permitted on rides (except the train).

The management reserve the right to approach your dog / dogs to assess their temperament and any dog showing signs that they could cause potential upset or harm to other guests (especially younger children) will not be admitted or will be asked to leave. This includes excited behaviour, such as excessive barking and jumping up. Dogs that may upset or harm others (e.g., by barking, jumping) will not be admitted or may be asked to leave.

All dog owners will be required to sign a form on entry agreeing to the following:

  • I am responsible for my dog at all times while on your premises, and I have public liability insurance.
  • I’m confident my dog will remain calm in indoor areas with noise, children, and other dogs.
  • My dog will be held on a short lead by an adult (18 years+) at all times. Retractable leads must be locked short.
  • I won’t take my dog to the bird of prey shows, bird centre, carpeted play areas, or Little Stars.
  • I will clean up after my dog (poo, wee or vomit - including indoors), asking staff for help if disinfection is needed.

Any breaches of this policy will result in being asked to leave the site.

Is the Milky Way wheelchair-accessible?

The park is all on one level so most areas are accessible to buggies and wheelchairs. There are accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities too.

What should I wear to the Milky Way?

Bare skin, nylon and polyester WILL burn on the slides - to avoid friction burns and damage to clothing please wear appropriate trousers/leggings, long-sleeved tops and socks.

For hygiene purposes, socks are mandatory throughout all play areas - spares can be purchased on-site if needed.

The Milky Way is an all-weather attraction, but make sure to bring warm and waterproof layers according to the forecast.

Sensible shoes are a must if you want to enjoy all of the fun on offer!

Can I bring my own food and drink to the Milky Way?

Yes! You're more than welcome to bring a picnic, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy your food. However, please do not bring food into the cafés or food outlets on-site.

Can children visit the Milky Way on their own?

No, all under 18s must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
