Booking Notes & Important Information

• Please check all booking confirmation details carefully, including the correct date and contact information.
• The mobile number provided must be one you will have with you on the day, in case the operator needs to contact you urgently.

Arrival & Meeting Points

• Check whether your trip departs from Albert Pier or South Pier (shown in your booking confirmation).
• If departing from Albert Pier, meet at the office.
• If departing from South Pier, go directly to the pier and do not visit the office first.
• Use the designated walkway on South Pier and stay alert for commercial traffic.
• There are no toilet facilities at the Albert Pier office.
• Public toilets are available near the bus station and at the start of South Pier.
• A toilet is available onboard the boat.

Travel & Parking

• Allow extra travel time, especially during busy tourist seasons and due to slow-moving traffic.
• Construction work in Penzance may cause additional delays.
• South Pier is approximately a 10–15 minute walk from the harbour car park.
• Penzance has good public transport links, including a train station, bus station and taxi rank near the harbour.
• Harbour car park postcode: TR18 2GB (pay and display).
• Free parking may be available along the promenade and Alexandra Road.
• Additional pay and display parking and dedicated harbour parking are also available.

Arrival Time & Punctuality

• Arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
• Late arrivals will not be accommodated, and refunds will not be given.
• Please do not arrive too early due to limited space at meeting points.

Weather & Cancellations

• All trips are weather dependent.
• Trips may be cancelled due to strong winds, rough seas, heavy rain, fog or lightning.
• Full refunds or alternative bookings will be offered if trips are cancelled.
• Trips are not cancelled for light rain or showers.
• You will be contacted via email or phone if a cancellation is required.
• Shorter sheltered trips may be offered in certain conditions, with partial refunds where applicable.
• Mechanical issues may occasionally result in cancellations, with full refunds provided.

Seasickness Advice

• Prepare for seasickness, especially if you are new to boating.
• Avoid sugary food, alcohol and travelling on an empty stomach.
• Use seasickness tablets where necessary.

Age Restrictions

• Ocean Discovery: Suitable for ages 7+
• Bay Discovery: Suitable for ages 4+
• Discovery Voyage: Suitable for ages 12+
• Children below the minimum age will not be permitted onboard.

Health & Safety

• Inform the operator of any relevant health conditions (such as back or neck issues, epilepsy or heart conditions).
• Boarding may involve steep steps from the harbour wall.
• Lifejackets must be worn at all times.
• Trips are undertaken at your own risk.

What to Wear

• Dress warmly as it is cooler at sea.
• A windproof jacket is essential (available to borrow if needed).
• In sunny conditions, wear sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat.
• Trousers are recommended; skirts and dresses are not suitable.

What to Bring

• Bring water in a reusable bottle.
• Snacks can be brought if desired.
• Personal belongings are your responsibility.

• Trips require a minimum of four passengers to operate.
• If minimum numbers are not met, an alternative trip or refund will be offered.
• Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Trips vary by age. The Bay Discovery is suitable for ages 4+, while the Ocean Discovery is suitable for ages 7+.
