About Tru
Written by Jay Presson Allen, Tru stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson as legendary American writer Truman Capote, the author behind Breakfast at Tiffany's and In Cold Blood.
Set in Capote's New York apartment in December 1975, the play follows him after the publication of a controversial extract from his unfinished novel Answered Prayers. The revelations have left him isolated from many of his closest friends, forcing him to reflect on his career, relationships and the consequences of exposing the truth.
