Step into the trees and breathe in the magic, Forest Feastival is back for 2026, transforming the beautiful Candleston Woods on the Merthyr Mawr Estate into a springtime celebration of food, fun and fresh air.

Think sizzling skillets, smoky grills, and dishes you’ll dream about long after you’ve left. Start the day exploring the stunning Glamorgan coastline, climb the iconic Big Dipper sand dune, then follow the scent of woodsmoke back to the clearing where the feast awaits.

Forest Feastival is the kind of day out where the only plan is to enjoy yourself. You can wander freely, discovering:

  • Roaming circus performers bringing bursts of colour and fun
  • Kids’ circus school where little ones can learn new tricks
  • Laid-back music drifting through the trees
  • Marshmallow fire pits perfect for a cosy treat
  • Wide-open woodland space ideal for exploring, relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere

What's on after dark...a new woodland vibe

As dusk settles, the festival reveals its nighttime personality. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the fires glow brighter, the music deepens and the woods transform into a dreamy outdoor hangout.

Expect a warm, adults atmosphere with:

  • Communal campfires
  • Guest DJs
  • Great food served under the stars
  • Please note: No children’s activities take place in evening sessions, and Friday nights are adults‑only

The woodland walk from the car park to the festival takes approximately 10 minutes. The dirt track is suitable for pushchairs and trolleys.

Remember to book in a car space if required!

Does Forest Feastival have wifi?

There is no Wi-Fi once you get into the woods - which really adds to the experience, don't you think? Just remember to take your photos and videos to upload to your socials when you get home!

Will Forest Feastival still go on if it rains?

Forest Feastival is open come rain or shine and rest assured they have lots of under cover areas pitched under canvas canopies. These areas are protected from the weather however not 100% waterproof. Especially if the rain is horizontal! They are are an outdoor venue so we strongly advise dressing appropriately for the weather. 

Do you accept cash at Forest Feastival?

No, Forest Feastival is a cashless event. They advise you bring a card as well as a phone just in case you run out of battery.
