Set in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside near Thirsk, Monk Park Farm is a much-loved family attraction offering hands-on animal encounters, outdoor play and plenty of fresh air.

Home to friendly goats, lambs, alpacas, deer, wallabies and small animals in the petting barn, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Children can get involved with feeding experiences, explore the farm using animal feed stations, and enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor play, including an indoor role play area, perfect for all-weather visits.

Throughout the year, the farm hosts a range of popular events including Lambing Live, Summer Festival, Pumpkin Picking and the Christmas Experience, making every visit a little bit different.

It is within easy reach of the A19 and A1.

Can I bring a picnic to Monk Park Farm?

Yes, there is a fantastic outside area with lots of benches, ideal for picnics. There is also an indoor picnic area in the new marquee next to the train ride. 

Are dogs allowed at Monk Farm Park?

Dogs are not allowed at Monk Farm Park, with the exception of registered guide dogs. 

Is Monk Park Farm wheelchair-friendly?

Yes, most pathways on-site are tarmac or stone-surfacing, and improvements are continuing for the rest of the site. The tractor ride is wheelchair-accessible, and so are the feeding stations, toilets and gift shop.
