The concert moves from Grieg's Wedding Day at Troldhaugen and Liszt's Liebesträume to Rachmaninov's Prelude in G minor, before Debussy's atmospheric Clair de Lune and two much-loved works by Chopin take centre stage.

Then it's Beethoven's turn. Hear the instantly recognisable Moonlight Sonata performed live before the evening finishes with the jazz-infused energy of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

Whether Beethoven is already firmly on your playlist or you're looking for something different to do between Christmas and New Year, this one-hour candlelit concert brings eight brilliant works together inside historic Manchester Cathedral.
