World-class piano music performed live this Christmas in Edinburgh

Step into the candlelight as acclaimed British concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith brings a packed programme of classical favourites to Edinburgh New Town Church on George Street.

The concert moves from Grieg's Wedding Day at Troldhaugen and Liszt's Liebesträume to Rachmaninov's Prelude in G minor, before Debussy's atmospheric Clair de Lune and two much-loved works by Chopin take centre stage.

Then it's Beethoven's turn. Hear the instantly recognisable Moonlight Sonata performed live before the evening finishes with the jazz-infused energy of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

Set inside Edinburgh New Town Church, Scotland's only elliptical-shaped church, this one-hour recital is a chance to swap the December rush for candlelight and some seriously good piano music.
