Some navigation systems (including certain TOMTOM models) misdirect visitors when using the correct museum postcode B92 0EJ. When near to our location which is situated on Junction 6 (M42 Motorway). The team also suggest following the brown signs.
Your visit begins and ends at the National Motorcycle Museum, located on Coventry Road, Bickenhill, Solihull, B92 0EJ — just off Junction 6 of the M42 and close to Birmingham International Airport and Train Station.
- Parking: Free onsite parking
- Road: The National Motorcycle Museum is located directly on the J6 island of the M42 motorway, directly opposite the NEC near Solihull in the West Midlands. Once you are on the A45 and in the vicinity of the NEC and Airport, please look for the highway brown signs.
- Bus: The nearest convenient bus stops are situated at Birmingham International railway station or at Birmingham International airport. Both of these transport hubs which are only a very short taxi journey from the Museum.
- Rail: The nearest main line station is Birmingham International which also serves Birmingham Airport, the NEC & the Museum. There is a taxi rank at the station with a journey time of less than 5 minutes to the Museum.

What are the opening hours for The National Motorcycle Museum?
The museum is open 7 days a week from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (last admission 4:30 PM). It is closed on certain public holidays — please check the museum’s website before your visit.
The Museum only closes on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing day.
