About Hauntings on Tyneside by Icy Sedgwick

Tyneside has long played a vital role in British history, from Roman settlements to its legacy in coal mining and shipbuilding. With centuries of life, death, and dark deeds concentrated in one region, it's no surprise that ghostly legends linger.

This talk delves into supernatural tales from across Tyneside—including Wallsend, Gateshead, North and South Shields, and the coastal areas.

The speaker, Icy Sedgwick, is a folklore expert and host of the Fabulous Folklore podcast. She is also the author of Rebel Folklore and Ghostlore, and holds a PhD in Film Studies focused on haunted house cinema. A former ghost hunter, Icy brings both academic insight and eerie experience to her storytelling.
