Horrible Histories - Terrible Tudors live on stage is back in the West End for summer 2024 at the Apollo Theatre in London.

We all want to meet people from history. The trouble is everyone is dead! So Terrible Tudors is back with the hit West End show for a third terrific year!

From the horrible Henries to the end of evil Elizabeth, hear the legends (and the lies!) about the torturing Tudors. Find out the fate of Henry’s headless wives and his punch up with the Pope. Meet Bloody Mary and see Ed fall dead in his bed. Survive the Spanish Armada as they launch their attack!

How to find us

The Apollo Theatre is situated on the famous Shaftesbury Avenue, which hosts a number of prolific theatres including the Lyric Theatre, Gielgud Theatre, Queen’s Theatre and Shaftesbury Theatre. This street also leads directly to Chinatown, as well as a number of restaurants, West End theatres, hotels and shopping options.

Located a stone’s throw away from Piccadilly Circus, Shaftesbury Avenue is usually very busy in the evenings and the Apollo Theatre is close to a number of transport links.

By Tube and Rail:

The nearest underground station to the Apollo Theatre is Piccadilly Circus, which is on the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines. Roughly a two-minute walk away from the theatre, this tube station gets rather busy when shows finish in the evenings.

Leicester Square station is also a seven-minute walk away and is on both the Piccadilly and Northern lines. Those who require National Rail transport links can go to Charing Cross station, which is a 12-minute walk away from the Apollo Theatre.

By Bus:

There are several bus routes that stop on Shaftesbury Avenue: 1, 14, 19, 22, 24, 29, 38, 55, 176

By Car and Taxi:

The closest car park to the Apollo Theatre is the Q-Park – Chinatown, Newport Place. The Q-Park Theatreland Parking Scheme saves 50% off your parking ticket. Just take your parking ticket to the theatre for it to be validated, and the amount will automatically be taken off your final charge.

Black cabs are available throughout this area.
