Please note: The event takes place on the opposite side of the park to the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
Northern Lights Newcastle can be accessed via the Southern Park entrance on Barrack Road.
Access via Transport:
- On foot: Leazes Park is a short stroll from Newcastle City Centre, with a slightly uphill route.
- Parking: St James Park, Leazes Park, Morden Street, Eldon Garden Multi-Storey, Eldon Square Multi-Storey
- By Train: Newcastle Central Station is a fifteen minute walk from Leazes Park.
- By Bus: The nearest bus stop is on Richardson Road/Barrack Road.

A child’s ticket is classed for those aged 3-15. Under 2’s are free.
Well-behaved dogs with responsible owners are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and be comfortable with large crowds, loud noises and fire.
The trail includes pulsing, flashing, and moving lighting effects that may affect people with photosensitive epilepsy.
There will be accessible toilets on the route. If you need any assistance during the trail, please ask one of the stewards who will be more than happy to help.
The pathways throughout the light trail will be accessible to wheelchair users. Please be aware that some areas may have some uneven flooring as we are on a public park site. Accessible, disabled toilets will also be available on site.
