By car:

From York and Hull, take the Buttercrambe turn off from the A166 (just after the Balloon Tree) and continue then take the 3rd left turning (800 yds after Sand Hutton turn) into Northwood. From Scarborough follow the A64 and turn off for the village of Sand Hutton, pass through the edge of the village towards Stamford Bridge, turn left at the T junction towards Buttercrambe and after approx 800 metres turn left into Northwood.

Can I bring my dog to the Dreamery Gardens?

Yes, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the trail. Please be sure to clear up after your dog. Dogs are not allowed in the café, but they are welcome on the veranda and in the marquee in the courtyard. 

Are the Dreamery Gardens wheelchair-accessible?

The trail is mostly suitable for wheelchair users, but please note that as a stoned wild woodland track, it can get muddy and rutted in bad weather. 

What should I wear to the Dreamery Gardens?

The gardens are primarily an outside experience, so please dress according to the weather and wear appropriate footwear. 

Can I buy food and drink at the Dreamery Gardens?

Yes, there is a range of locally-sourced food and drink available at the Woodland Kitchen in the Dreamery Gardens. 

Is smoking allowed at the Dreamery Gardens?

Smoking is strictly prohibited on-site. 

Can I bring a picnic to the Dreamery Gardens?

Due to the local woodland creatures being attracted to food, picnicking is prohibited at the Dreamery Gardens. 

You are still able to enjoy tasty food and drink at the Woodland Kitchen. 

Can I bring a bike to the Dreamery Gardens?

While you are welcome to cycle to the site, it cannot be taken with you into the Gardens. 

Who are the Dreamery Gardens for?

The Dreamery Gardens are enjoyed by visitors of all ages. The peaceful nature of the Gardens and fantastic fairy displays are appealing to everybody. 

The site is enjoyed by both boys and girls, the fairies aren't pink and glittery if that's what your boys are worried about! This is a genuine fairy sanctuary that looks after a wide range of fairy species.  

While most visitors are families with young children, plenty of adults without children also visit the site, as it's a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of nature and enjoy a fantastic cup of organic coffee.
