Scrooge, 30+ characters & two performers take centre stage

Dickens Theatre Company presents A Christmas Carol as part of its Revision On Tour programme, bringing classic English GCSE texts from the page to the stage.

There is just one rather large problem. The rest of the acting cast is stuck on a train. That leaves Charles Dickens himself and his faithful tour manager, George Dolby, with the daunting job of bringing not only Ebenezer Scrooge to life, but more than 30 other characters too.

The production is designed for both students studying the text and audiences who simply love Dickens' classic festive story, creating a distinctive way to revisit A Christmas Carol on stage.

Matinee ticket holders can also choose to stay for a free 20-minute post-show Q&A with the cast, giving audiences the chance to ask questions and explore the production further.

Book A Christmas Carol tickets today and see just how far two performers can stretch one of Britain's most famous Christmas stories at Palace Theatre in Southend.
